MOST PROUD OF: Working within the Supply Chain Industry which I have been passionate about since I was young and now being in a privileged position to support the next generation of talent.  Pentland’s partnership with “The People” is the perfect platform for myself and a number of dedicated colleagues to do this.  It’s an unbelievably exciting time to work for such a great company who own so many prestigious and world recognised brands.

IN MY FREE TIME: I love Sci-Fi particularly Star Wars and anything related to that universe.  I am a keen
X-Box gamer and enjoy reading bookings from lots of genres.

Caroline Nankinga

MOST PROUD OF: building a platform for passionate colleagues across the business to come together and drive meaningful action. From sharing their personal stories to educate others around racial equality, LGBTQ+ allyship, and neurodiversity, to forming 4 new employee networks focused on wellbeing, diversity and inclusion. Seeing the momentum of what can be achieved from their passion has been truly inspiring and spurs me on to push for more action.

IN MY FREE TIME: I channel my inner Aretha and love to sing in my local community gospel choir.

Kester
Mather

Ruth
Mann

MOST PROUD OF: Returning to work full time after having two children.  It’s not easy but I’m determined to show my daughters that you can have a career and a family and make it work. Luckily Pentland is really supportive with flexible working so it really helps with the juggle.

IN MY FREE TIME: Spending time as a family, travelling when we can. We’ve just got an allotment so I’m enjoying learning how to grow veg!  I also love going out dancing but most likely it’ll be the kitchen disco for me with two young children at the moment.

Isabelle
Caesar

Helps manufacture
safe products for
everyone

MOST PROUD OF:  Brexit is a minefield so I am proud to have gained swift understanding of what it meant for Pentland products and working with different teams to implement the changes.

Simon
Breckon

MOST PROUD OF:  Spotting and harnessing talent to empower and orchestrate the individual and specific teams to do the best work of their careers. From developing creative campaigns to disruptive brand building platforms and launching iconic product, it’s about  putting the brand right into culture.

IN MY FREE TIME:  I love anything sport related and pushing myself into the outdoors so whether that is cycling, sailing, surfing (now a bit old!) or skiing, its all good. Recently Covid-19 restrictions have limited this yet as restrictions lift, we can start to explore again!

Laura
Bromley

Creative Talent Manager

Promotes and brings together Pentland’s Creative Talent Community.

MOST PROUD OF: Selecting and nurturing some of the best junior designers to join our business. And providing an encouraging space for young designers to thrive so that they can build their confidence at the start of their careers in the design industry.
I am so passionate about supporting the next generation of creative talent. I believe in them and the great impact they will bring to our business and the world of design. They are the future!

IN MY FREE TIME: I love art, fashion and textiles, and creating my own artworks using my sewing machine
and a mix of media.

Kaiesha
Gibson

Corporate Responsibility Manager

Helping the business to protect the workers and deliver on its legal and moral responsibility to workers and the environment.

MOST PROUD OF: Getting over my voice-breaking, body trembling fear of  public speaking.  And Being a board member of ACT - I felt it was something that somebody else does and felt very official - and out of my reach but I volunteered. And yes it was learning but I was still myself, I didn't need to be another person to do it.

IN MY FREE TIME: I like my couch  and TV  - a lot! As I have got older I appreciate how restorative spending time in nature is.  I used to love drama when I was in school and I wanted to do something for myself so I recently started attending amateur dramatic classes.

IN MY FREE TIME: I love travelling, music, amateur furniture upcycling and spending time with friends and family.

Sara
Brennan

Positive Business Director

Helps the business  give back to  communities and think about our impact on the planet.

MOST PROUD OF: the work the entire team and other departments has done to pull together a really ambitious Positive Business strategy which sets out our long term goals of what we want to do by the time the company is 100 years old in 2032. On a more personal level I’m really proud to play a small part in the LGBTQ+ employee network. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community I have worked in companies where it didn’t feel safe to be out as queer or  experience negative comments so to work somewhere where I feel I can be myself and we have a network of LGBTQ+ members and allies feels really good so I am really proud of that (no pride pun intended).

IN MY FREE TIME: I
There are lots of things I enjoy doing outside of work that have taken a little bit of a backseat recently as I have just become a mum for the first time so I am navigating that currently which is challenging but  fun. I enjoy going out for drinks, seeing friends, walking round  amazing London parks with my dog. I love travelling whether it being in the UK or outside.
I enjoy trying new things even if I’m not the best at it; before the pandemic I started fencing for the first time, which was fun, although a bit daunting turning up on my own to a class and being given a sword.

Chris
Warn

Global Logistics Director

Leads and develops Pentland’s global logistics and customer operations functions

MOST PROUD OF:  The part I played in keeping my teams safe and secure during the pandemic. It was a privilege to support them in ensuring the business kept moving, but that the health and safety of the team and their families remained the number one priority.

IN MY FREE TIME:  I am still playing competitive 11-a-side football at the age of 42, which my body doesn’t appreciate anymore. Football is a big part of my life, if I’m not playing then I am either running my son’s U9s team or watching my beloved Tottenham Hotspur. As a family we are trying, and spectacularly failing to train our French Bulldog puppy.

Isabelle

financial analysis

MOST PROUD OF: Having been able to travel to South America for my professional development – It was a fantastic experience to work along people with different cultures and languages.
